In a state of great pain, Garou remembers his miserable past as a misunderstood child who was bullied. In his anger and desperation, he launches a counterattack by destroying the ground and grabbing a huge tree in the confusion. Garou swings a tree at Bang and Bomb, forcing them to retreat. Phoenix Man suddenly appears and creates immense air pressure, blasting everyone away and proceeds to grab Hero Hunter mid-air while calling for Elder Centipede to cover their escape. Despite their combined strength and even considerable damage to the Elder Centipede, Bang, Bomb and Genos were unable to defeat the monster due to its molting and massive regeneration power and were forced to retreat. As they retreated to the end of the forest, Bang was about to sacrifice himself and release his full power to buy Bomb time to escape with the unwitting heroes and Genos. Fortunately, King arrives and catches Elder Centipede’s attention by tricking him into believing that King brought Blast with him and also taunts the monster, causing the monster to pounce on the S-class hero.
