It’s time for One-Punch Man to adapt one of the best comic book arcs. In case you didn’t know, artist Yusuke Murata is preparing the One-Punch Man manga for a big reveal. This week, that update went live as her new chapter began the Neo Heroes saga, and we got our first look at Murat’s take on the gang.Or at least some of them we got to see. Murata dyed two members of the ex-vigilante group and his transformation is absolutely insane. The “Neo Heroes Saga” has finally begun in One Punch Man. It will focus on the dark side of superhero society.

As you can see above, Murata revived Accel in one panel as shown on the left. On the right side we find Raiden. The two characters look somewhat different from their comic book form, but that’s on a One-Punch Man level. Murata kept the key design elements of their characters, but tweaked everything else and mocked the fighters.Accel and Raiden will of course be familiar faces in the webcomic community. Accel is considered the leader of the Neo Hunters and has a deep distrust of the Hero Association. As we learned long ago in One-Punch Man, the fighter’s ingrained anger at the organization stems from the heroes’ inability to save one of Accel’s loved ones. In fact, the entire Neo Hunter group has a similar grudge, and Saitama will soon face that grudge.

It’s clear that Murat’s redesign for these Neo Hunters looks great, and fans are eager to see his take on this new arc. The Neo Heroes saga will showcase the darker side of the heroine, as One-Punch Man was quite optimistic in his view of professional heroes. Now we look at what happens to people who fall through the cracks of society and how the Neo Hunters answer for them.

If you’re not hooked on the One-Punch Man manga, we recommend you brush up as soon as possible. The manga is being released with a delay by Viz Media in the United States. Of course, you can catch up on Saitama’s first wave of missions via the One-Punch Man anime. Two seasons are now streaming on Crunchyroll, and a third season has been announced.
