One Punch Man Season 2 Episode 8

SUMMARY

In One Punch Man Season 2 Episode 08 (aka Episode 20), “The Resistance of the Strong,” the Monster Association’s plan moves relentlessly forward. Goketsu, a monster that invaded the martial arts tournament, gave the contestants a choice: Eat monster cells and become monsters, or die. One by one, the remaining contestants tried to fight back—and were crushed—or succumbed to their fears. Suiryu attacked one of the new monsters and easily defeated it. Can he do just as well against Goketsu? Or will Goketsu turn him into a smudge on the broken pavement?

Best Moment

Saitama’s stance was a powerful statement of what it means to be a hero. Maybe Suiryu will learn from his example! Catch from the Hulu stream. One Punch Man excels at creating amazing battles. On several occasions, it built the character’s strength to the point where I thought she could rival Saitama. Then they actually bump into our hero and we usually get a powerful reminder that he’s alone in the classroom. We have seen how powerful Suiryu is. With the exception of Saitama, he has defeated every opponent he has ever faced. This episode ended his winning streak. Definitely. To his credit, he tried to get up and fight on, only to endure another defeat. It was so bad that when two heroes arrived and tried to buy him time to escape, he was grateful.

Suiryu. Grateful! It made watching his next defeat all the more difficult. A new monster named Bakuzan was pounding Suiryu inches from his life. He was in so much pain and his spirit was such a wreck that he cried out to the hero to come save him from the monster (20:44). His cries were pitiful! I don’t mean that scornfully either. He was actually pathetic. It made my favorite moment something special to savor!Something flickered as the new monster slammed its foot down to crush the life out of Suiryu. The monster was surprised that there was nothing under his feet. It was because Saitama heard the cry for help.”You fought hard alone,” said Saitama Suiryu (22:15). “Let me take care of the rest.No boasting. No long-winded talk. Just a hero who wants to do heroic things.I don’t think I’ve ever been happier to see Saitama!
