One-Punch Man took the first steps into a major new arc with the latest manga chapters to date, and the cliffhanger from the latest One-Punch Man chapter debuted the new upgrades Genos is receiving into this new era! Things have changed dramatically for the hero world in One-Punch Man as the Hero Association tries to reform its ranks after everything that happened during the war against the Monster Association. This included Genos, whose body took massive damage before all the fighting in this arc ended.

Previous chapters of the One-Punch Man manga teased that a new group of heroes had begun to form to oppose the current way the Hero Association was running things. The latest chapter of One-Punch Man takes us a step forward to see this new group in action by showing how the others have changed since the end of the Human Monster Saga. This includes Genos who has now gained another upgraded body that is stronger than ever before.
One-Punch Man: What’s Next for Genos?
One-Punch Man Chapter183 shows how the various members of the Hero Association were affected by the massive battles against the Monster Association in the previous arc. Some of them have been shaken to the core, some of them are looking for surviving monsters that could be a threat later, and some of them are trying to return to their former glory. As for Genos, it was previously teased that he was one of the S-class heroes who joined the new group of heroes forming in secret.
While the chapter itself does not reveal whether Genos has decided to join this new group of heroes right now, the final moments of the chapter show that Genos is, thanks to Dr. Kusena truly stronger than he was before. Genos notes that he is now strong enough to face dragon threat level monsters and even wants a friendly match with Saitama to help test it. They quickly defeat the attacking monster, and in the final moments, Genos confirms to Saitama that he has indeed switched roles again.
This hilariously undercuts how big the moment is for Genos, but it definitely opens Genos up for a big fight in the future with his new body.
